Two Congress members expelled, 11 suspended from TS Assembly

As expected, the Telangana State Assembly took strict disciplinary action against the Congress MLAs.

Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council K Swami Goud was injured when a headphone hurled by a Congress MLA hit him near his right eye when Governor Mr ESL Narasimhan was delivering his address to the joint session of the legislature on Monday. Goud, who was seen with a plaster over his right eye after receiving treatment at a hospital, told reporters that a headphone hit him in the eye. "I had no intention of hurting the Council chairman".

He also detailed the steps taken by the government to improve agriculture sector, fisheries, horticulture, sheep distribution programme and the successful undertaking of the land records updation.

The state government has announced an investment support scheme for farmers, but the opposition Congress and BJP allege that the TRS government has failed to implement its farm loan waiver effectively and also in providing MSP to farmers for different crops.

As per reports, the leaders' broke microphones and threw them towards the podium where the Governor was seated.

He listed out the irrigation projects, education reforms and the initiatives undertaken by the government for development of the state and welfare of the people.
