Ed Sheeran To Star In Danny Boyle's Musical Comedy?

Ed Sheeran To Star In Danny Boyle's Musical Comedy?

Director Danny Boyle's untitled comedy starring Lily James and Kate McKinnon will hit theaters in the US on September 13, 2019, Universal announced Monday.

Over the last few years, Ed Sheeran has developed a habit of making surprise cameo appearances in TV and film-most notably in the Season 7 premiere of Game of Thrones as a Lannister solider. Sheeran will apparently write new songs, while tracks from the legendary British group will also feature in the film.

Tentatively titled All You Need is Love, it is about a struggling musician who believes he is the only person who can remember the songs of the Beatles.

Ed Sheeran is in talks to appear opposite Lily James in Danny Boyle's new music-themed movie.

Are The Weeknd and Bella Hadid Dating Again?
The Weeknd dated Gomez for about nine months back in 2017, and it's rumored that his song " Call Out My Name " is about her. Another source reported that the exes: "kissed a couple of times", and were "completely all over each other ".

As a known fan of The Beatles, the 27-year-old hit-maker would be simply flawless for the role. Boyle is the front-runner to direct the Bond movie, and it could prove challenging to promote two films debuting so close together.

Sheeran is a known fan of The Beatles, having once performed an acoustic cover of "In My Life" in front of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr (see footage of that below).

Universal Studios has set a September 13, 2019, release date for its untitled comedy with director Danny Boyle and stars Kate McKinnon, Lily James, and Himesh Patel. There is now no other major release scheduled for that date, although it will be competing against the second week of IT: Chapter Two, which opens September 6, 2019.
