Greitens facing new charges for tampering with computer data

Greitens facing new charges for tampering with computer data

Mr. Greitens faces trial on the invasion of privacy count in St. Louis on May 14, and has said that he looks forward to clearing his name.

Eric Greitens (R) was charged with a felony on Friday for using an improperly obtained list of donors from his charity during his 2016 campaign, according to the Associated Press.

The embattled first-term governor and former Navy SEAL has denied any criminal wrongdoing and vowed to remain in office despite a chorus of fellow Republicans calling for him to resign or face impeachment. She testified that Greitens controlled, slapped, grabbed, shoved and endangered during a set of sexual encounters that times left her fearful and crying.

"Her original case is falling apart - so today, she's brought a new one", Greitens said in a statement.

Thank goodness for the Constitution and our court system. In the United States of America, you get your day in court. "In three weeks, this matter will go to a court of law-where it belongs and where the facts will prove my innocence", Greitens said Tuesday.

"I stand by that work", Greitens said.

The statute of limitations was set to expire Sunday, April 22.

Both the invasion of privacy and computer tampering charges of felonies, each punishable by up to four years in prison. His attorneys, in court hearings and filings, have painted a picture of an incompetent prosecutor who rather than working with police to investigate Greitens hired a private investigator who bungled the investigation, hid evidence and lied to the court.

Police release findings into Prince's death, giving glimpse into his final days
Governor Dayton encourages Minnesotans across the state to wear purple on Prince Day in honor of the Purple One's enduring legacy. Several prescription bottles bearing Johnson's name were found in Paisley Park after Prince's death.

The governor later filed requests for a restraining order against Hawley and a special prosecutor in The Mission Continues case. The testimony contradicts Greitens' previous assertions that "there was no violence" and "no threat of violence" in what he has described as a consensual extramarital affair. It also outlines instances where the Republican governor's public comments appear to run counter to some of her allegations. The girl, with whom he had had an affair, " alleges if she revealed the relationship he threatened to release the photo.

Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley, who aided the St. Louis circuit attorney in the case by turning over evidence earlier this week, reacted in a statement Friday: "These are serious charges - and an important reminder that no one is above the law in Missouri".

Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens has been charged with a felony related to his use of a charity donor list for his 2016 political campaign. "Not only did he create this list donor by donor, friend by friend, but the Mission Continues still has the list", Dowd said in a statement.

Greitens and the person who obtained the list knew they did not have permission to use the donor list, the document states.

Court documents say Greitens "acted with others" when he took and used data specifically owned by The Mission Continues for the the goal of soliciting funds for his political campaign.

Some Democrats, including U.S. Sen.

Hawley's Tuesday news conference prompted House Speaker Todd Richardson and Senate President Pro Tem Ron Richard to call for Greitens' resignation. Greitens founded the charity to support military veterans as they readjust to civilian life.
