LG G7 ThinQ's speaker is apparently ten times louder than others

This is fine with us, so long as we get a better understanding of what to expect later this week.

LG is upping the ante in the audio department.

The LG G7 ThinQ will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with LG UX skinned on top. Instead, LG is utilizing a single speaker, but incorporating a design that's essentially an echo chamber. This time around, they revealed that it will come with a Boombox Speaker, but don't think you'll have to attach an old-school speaker to your mobile device to enjoy this. It's unclear exactly how this works, but the image hints that LG is somehow using the phone's entire body to amplify the sound. When the phone is placed on a flat surface, bass levels will be further amplified. In doing that, that object becomes a makeshift subwoofer for your phone, allowing for further resonation. This means G7 ThinQ owners will be able to experience 3D 7.1 surround sound. DTS:X is comparable to Dolby Atmos, allowing for high-end stereoscopic sound. Of course, it's hard to know how this will all sound without an in-person demonstration. When you can tell things are behind, above, left, or to the right of you? Renders of the LG G7 ThinQ also reveal that the phone will have a dedicated AI button on the left side below the volume controls that will launch Google Assistant.

LG has really outdone itself this time in terms of audio.

Here's how LG Puts it.

This difference will be clear even if you use headphones because the flagship will be incorporated with a Hi-Fi Quad DAC. LG G7 ThinQ will also provide support for MQA or Master Quality Authenticated standard; this will enable the phone to output high-quality, high-fidelity streaming with little data capacity consumed. The LG G7 ThinQ will be the outcome of those redesign efforts.
