"PDP has done nothing to hold its coalition partner to its commitments, not only in regard to efforts to resolve the festering political problem in the state but also on other important issues which had lent a facade of justification to this ideologically divergent coalition under the garb of so-called "Agenda of Alliance", Tarigami said. The girl had disappeared from a spot near her house close to Rasana village on January 10.

The BJP today chose to forward the resignation letters of the ministers - Choudhary Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga - to the Chief Minister.

BJP spokesman Ashok Kaul told Firstpost that the meeting would take place at the saffron party's office and all the leaders would attend the meeting, including the two leaders who have sent in their resignations. "We will bring a new law that will make the death penalty mandatory for those who rape minors, so that minor's case becomes the last", said Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet. "Despite concerns and warnings by democratic forces in and outside the state about this opportunist alliance, the PDP gave damn to it and today they have put a sensitive state like J&K in deep crisis", he said. "The entire nation has come with her", Naeem Akhtar, a minister in the Mufti Cabinet, said after the PDP meeting.
