National Weather Service: EF-1 tornado hit Upshur, Harrison counties

The National Weather Service on Saturday placed parts of San Diego County under a high wind watch beginning Sunday night.

Police said 48-year-old Anthony George of Greensboro was killed about 5:45 p.m. Sunday when a tree fell on his auto.

The Green Bay Press Gazette reports that the hotel was evacuated and guests were being moved to other area hotels.

Since 10 p.m. Friday, Wisconsin Public Service crews have restored power to about 24,000 customers in northeastern and north central Wisconsin, said Matt Cullen, senior communications specialist.
