Stormy Daniels to attend Trump lawyer Michael Cohen's court appearance

U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood has scheduled a hearing in the case for Monday afternoon.

The letter demanded Trump and Cohen's lawyers be allowed to decide which items seized are protected by attorney-client privilege before criminal prosecutors see them.

This combination photo shows, from left, President Donald Trump, attorney Michael Cohen and adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Daniels says she had a sexual relationship with Trump in 2006. There was a lawyer at the Trump Organization who did have to sign off on nearly every significant deal - and that guy wasn't Cohen. But no matter what it is, the Fox News personality's deranged "crime families" screed after the raid on Cohen's office is starting to make a lot more sense.

In his regular broadcast Monday, Hannity says he had "brief discussions" with Michael Cohen about "legal questions where I wanted his input and perspective". "It has nothing to do with getting in his head at all", said Avenatti.

President Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen argued in new filings Monday that the court should appoint a third party to review material seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Federal prosecutors on Friday said President Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen is the target of a "months-long" criminal investigation that centers on Cohen's own business dealings rather than his legal work on Trump's behalf.

Last week, a source familiar with the raids said that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents were looking for information on payments to Daniels among materials related to other business dealings.

Perhaps it is more fitting that they were awarded the title because their biggest rivals lost to the team bottom of the table. I have seen many teams win it as champions for the whole season, and it's the first case for us.

That is despite the Justice Department's creation of an independent team - a "clean team" or a "filter team" separate from the prosecutors and investigators looking into Cohen - to review the material. They said that prosecutors had already intercepted emails from Cohen and executed the search warrants only after discovering that there were no emails between Trump and Cohen.

In a filing before Monday's hearing, Cohen disclosed that he's given legal advice to three clients in 2017 and this year: Trump, Elliott Broidy and third party who didn't want to be identified.

The Cohen raid, conducted by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents with a search warrant a week ago, sought evidence of those payments, which could violate laws on bank fraud and campaign contributions. In 2013, says the Wall Street Journal, it was Cohen who spiked an Us Weekly story on the alleged affair between Audrey O'Day, the former Danity Kane member and Celebrity Apprentice contestant, and Donald Trump Jr., the man who inherited both his father's name and intelligence of a toaster.

Stormy Daniels, shown in a file photo, could be in court in NY for Monday's hearing.

In a court filing Monday morning, Cohen's lawyers argued that Cohen should not be required to turn over the names.

The eight-page letter written by Trump's lawyer, Joanna Hendon, accuses the Justice Department of acting in "an aggressive, intrusive, and unorthodox manner" in an attempt to "eliminate the president's right to a full assertion of every privilege argument available to him".

"Among other things, President Trump has publicly denied knowing that Cohen paid Clifford, and suggested to reporters that they had to "ask Michael" about the payment", the footnote argues, citing a story by CNN's Kevin Liptak.
