Queen Release 'Sneak Peek' Trailer for 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

Originally, Sacha Baron Cohen was slated to play Queen frontman Mercury in the band's biopic-in the making since 2010-but abandoned the project due to "creative differences" with Queen's living members. We also get a more in-depth look at Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury.

'What always had me was his ability to give people the ability to embrace their imperfections, ' Malek said in April of Mercury. The cast includes Allen Leech as Mercury's personal manager Paul Prenter, Ben Hardy as Taylor, Gwilym Lee as May and Joe Mazzello as John "Decay" Deacon, the bassist and composer who handled Queen's financial dealings. Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, Superman Returns, various X-Men movies) was the original director of the film, but was sacked from the film after reportedly being absent from the set several times. The teaser is short, but sweet, and shows a lot of promise for fans that have been waiting a very long time to see this movie.

The title song, "Bohemian Rhapsody" spent 14 weeks at number one after being released and has become the third highest selling single in the United Kingdom, behind Elton John's "Something About The Way You Look Tonight/Candle in the Wind" - released in the wake of Princess Diana's death, and 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' - on which Mercury also featured.

Although originally directed by Bryan Singer, the film now boasts the direction of Dexter Fletcher after a serious of disagreements resulted in Singer being dismissed previous year.

Mike Myers and Tom Hollander will also appear in the film.

Ultimately, we'll have to wait until the movie hits theaters on November 2 to see exactly what kind of balance it strikes between giving us all an excuse to rock out and tackling the serious subjects.
