Stan Lee Goes After Ex-Company ... POW! Here's a $1 BILLION Lawsuit!!!

The comic book legend is going after POW!

Now Lee is suing his company, POW! The suit hopes to roll back the agreement and collect damages up to one billion dollars.

Lee claims POW Entertainment!, including CEO Shane Duffy and Gill Champion, either forged his signature or tricked him into signing over the exclusive rights to his name, image and likeness, according to TMZ.

POW! was acquired a year ago by Hong Kong-based Camsing International.

Lee lost his longtime wife Joan, who died at the age of 93 last July. He also cited his macular degeneration, which rendered him blind in 2015, as another reason. Things were dialed up to 11 once Lee sued his former manager for fraud and abuse. In the case, taking advantage of Lee's macular degeneration and subsequently impaired sight to get him to sign away exclusive rights to use his name to Camsing International Holding, a Hong Kong-based company that acquired POW! past year.

The 95-year-old says that he never knowingly signed the agreement for the "sham" deal, and that it amounts to a fraudulent theft by Duffy and Champion of his "identity, name and likeness", branding it - with a phrase lifted straight from the comic books - a "nefarious scheme" involving possible forgery. He usually only authorizes it on a non-exclusive basis.

Shooting death of Pa. suspended school teacher ruled a homicide
Though known in local media outlets for her dispute with her wedding dress designer, Rachael DelTondo was once a teacher. The leak prompted a state police investigation of the Aliquippa Police - which DelTondo complied with.

In his complaint, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Lee lays out the terms of his argument.

"Lee does not recall anyone reading the Illegitimate Document to him, and, due to his advanced macular degeneration, he could not have read it himself", writes attorney Adam Grant in the complaint.

Lee explained that he would not have knowingly signed the licence and that he suspects someone induced him into signing the document by using a "bait and switch" tactic, telling Lee that the document was something else.

Lee also claims POW! took control of his social media accounts and has been impersonating him - something he's recently addressed on Twitter.

"From now on, I will depend on you, my dear fans, to protect and defend me".

"I just want to tell you I love your comments on Twitter - I don't know how much I have been missing now that I see them", he said. In fact, a quote from the lawsuit calls Lee's name "the most important and prized possession Lee and his family owned his entire life".
