Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Announced From FromSoftware

Today Xbox is hosting its E3 2018 press briefing from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and we finally saw the reveal of FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. You can check out the full trailer embedded above.

FromSoftware teased a new project it is working on during The Game Awards a year ago, only showing the tagline Shadows Die Twice.

Much like the developer's previous ventures like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, the new title is a third-person action game with RPG elements. The single-player game puts players in the protagonist role of a hard-hearted warrior whose mission is to rescue his master, a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, and exact revenge on his arch nemesis.

Nadal, in an on-court interview, also said he's sure that runner-up Thiem will win the tournament in "the next couple of years". That was swatted away with Nadal's double-handed backhand, though, and the second set duly went the way of the favourite.

The game takes place in a Japanese setting, and will have players take control of a samurai.

"Collaborating with Activision on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been a very exciting experience for us", Miyazaki says. What we do know is that the game will arrive in 2019. In a 4chan thread that's now been deleted, a self-named leaker said that they had information on FromSoftware's game that listed details such as the use of a grappling hook.
